Another first

Yesterday we had our first object in the toilet incident.

But before I tell my little tale, it will help you understand some of if it if I give you a little Brady fact: The kid loves cars, trucks, buses, airplanes, helicopters, tractors, trains, etc. and he goes through spurts of which one he wants to carry around with him 24/7. Well, for the past week or so he has been carrying around a little toy car that we got for free out of a cereal box. He eats with it, sleeps with it, and goes to the bathroom with it...

So yesterday morning he's in the bathroom doing his business and calls me in because he's done. So I go in there and he tells me he's all done but he's lost his car. I'm like "you dropped it?" (meaning on the floor somewhere) And he says "yeah." So I tell him that its ok and that we'll find it as soon as he's wiped and washed his hands. So we wipe him, flush the toilet, wash hands, and then start our search for the car. I turned the bathroom upside down and couldn't find it anywhere. So I say "Brady, where did you drop it?" And he points to the toilet and says "in there." Good grief. I thought for sure he was making it up since I didn’t hear anything rattle around when I flushed nor did I notice it in the toilet (but to my defense, it was full of poo and hard to see anything), but after another thorough examination of the bathroom, the car that was previously there was definitely not there anymore. I have my fingers crossed that maybe it was small enough to just flow through the pipes. If not, we’re going to have a serious problem on our hands someday. Kids!

Here is the little angel with his beloved car (taken a couple of days before it got flushed)

Nothing like it all happening in one month...the nose, the toilet, etc. It's been awhile now but Hannah had put the little 'lip' thing that goes on potty chairs for boys down the toilet and they flushed it. That happened when a baby-sitter was here. We haven't had a pipe problem, but I always wonder if it is stuck somewhere. It seems no matter how much I clean that bathroom it smells like urine. We keep the door closed because of the kids, but it shouldn't always smell so I always wonder if something isn't wrong, ya know! I'm sure the car will pass right through with the poo;) Sorry I wrote a book... Speaking of poo, I gotta go change one.

My kids haven't made that announcment to me - yet! Though it wouldn't suprise me if they did and just didn't say anything...
