A job will come.
Yippity skippity, Jeff has a job. Woo. Now we just need to work on getting him into a house of his own...
I'll post more details about his job next week and also maybe post a pic of him in his business attire. ;)
In other news, George started his I31 treatment today. So I now have a radioactive cat in quarantine. Hope this works!

I don't have anything great to post about. The kids had fun at my parents last week and I was super glad to see them again. However, the novelty has worn off and things are back to being the battle of the wills. If they (Brian and Jeff included) would just do what I say, things would be so much easier. Wah wah.
And there is drama on the pet front again. George is sick. Found out he has hyperthyroidism. So, we're going to cough up the $$$$ to cure him (which includes radioactive iodine treatment at the U of M). I swore I would never again spend that much money on a cat. That will teach me not to swear. I should know better. When it comes to animals, I am weak. And when it comes to me, Brian is. If it were his choice, we'd be digging a hole for poor George right now.
And then there's Jeff. Still no job after being here for a month. The novelty is definitely starting to wear off there too.
So that's my nothing great to post about.
And with that, I leave you this parting shot:
She'll love me for this one someday too.

Oh yeah - got my hair done
Ignore the cheese mug shots and just concentrate on the hair. This is possibly the darkest and reddest its ever been. Just call me raisin.
Best part of all was when I got home, Jeff asked me "So exactly what color is that?" Thanks bud. But then he took me out to dinner. :) No hard feelings here.

And my mom just sent me some pics of the kids at her house. This one made me laugh so hard. That is some crazy hair.

And they're off!
Brian is going up to the MTU career fair and then is going snowmobiling in the eastern UP afterward. So winkie and dinkie are staying with my Mom and Dad this week. Part of me is happy, really happy... FREEDOM!! But another part of me has the worriesome mom angst. I'll be fine once I know they've made it safely - its the driving up there in blizzard like conditions that has me feeling anxious. Just let them make it up there safely so I can party! ;)
Kind of. I am going to get my hair done tomorrow night, and maybe my eyebrows too. Woo!

He loves me, he loves me not...
He loves me!
Meet the newest member of our household: Sneaky Pete.
(But we call him Pete, it goes better with George. "The two boys.")

Dear Brian
All I (and Brady, Jayda, and George) want for Valentine's Day is one of these very acceptable kitty's. All of their St Francis description's include the following, very important, lines:
Contessa
Harvey
Jennings
KissyLips
Mr. Bear
Sandine
Scerny
- I am a very loving cat. (+ for all)
- I am very comfortable around cats and humans of any age. (+ for George and the kids)
- I am the kind of cat that you can pick up at anytime and cuddle with. (+++ for the kids)

Beware the Butts
1981 (Johnny and Jodie)
After much prodding, I finally busted out the camera, posed the kids, took the butt shot and sent the pic to my mom. Her response:
"Applause to FINALLY having taken the picture. However...the pose was inaccurate as you will see by the enclosed photo that Brady's arm should be the top arm and Jayda's the low arm...they should be sitting on a little stool facing the wall by a heater. Try again."
So there might be an update to this post some day. I don't know though. Shooting the butt shot is harder than it looks.

Friday Night's Fun
Brian had it in his head that making homemade pizza's would be so much fun, so we gave it a try with the kids. Kind of messy, kind of more expensive than it should have been, and kind of not that good. At least we tried. ;)
