Friday night we went over to Kim and Chris’s for dinner and a movie.
Saturday I played all day with Bethany. We went shopping, had lunch at Olive Garden, saw a movie (Marie Antoinette – very depressing), did more shopping and then went home.
On Saturday we also received a call from the vets about Macey’s bloodwork. Turns out her medicine for her hyperthyroidism is damaging her liver, so we have to take her off of it. Without meds though her thyroid problem is out of control and she starts losing weight and vomiting all of the time. So the vets say an alternate (read thousands of dollars) solution is to remove her thyroid glands. She can either have laser surgery or else go through radiation. Nice. Now we feel like losers for not wanting to pay tons of money to potentially (because she might not make it through surgery or radiation) save her life. Sigh. Poor kitty.

Sunday Erika and Alex came over to play. Erika let me paint her nails blue and green. So pretty. :)

Ugh, you didn't invite me to come and play with you and Bethany! Boy, that gives me an idea...maybe I should come and visit ya'll sometime. It can't be too $ for one person to fly there... Sounds like a great weekend!
