Since my last post

The kids and I went to the UP over labor day to visit my parents. We had tons of fun playing with the animals, swimming in their pool (as it was 90 degrees, crazy hot for up there), and picking berries.
Then when I got back, Brian's parents came to stay with the kids while Brian and I both went out of town for business. Brian went to Dallas and I went to Denver. That was the first time that ever happened, but the kids did well and thoroughly enjoyed their time with Grandpa and Grandma. Brian was gone for 3 days, I was gone for 5. I fared the worst out of all of them. Then, when I got back, it was back to the rat race, and then I came down with a crap hole cold and am just now feeling better. So that's about it. Up and coming events are birthdays and the marathon. Can't wait!

Here are some of our latest pics. Making salsa and posing with our gargantuan sunflowers.

I always wondered why people grow sunflowers. Just for looks? Can you make seeds? Excuse my ignorance...you are just the first person I can comfortably ask. :-)

And it's about time you gave us an update!

I miss hearing from you! :) So it's nice to see what's going on.

I love how the sunflower looks like it's on Jayda's head in the first sunflower pic! :)

Great photos. Your salsa looks SO good and I love your sunflowers. I had them that big one year and after weeding around them, I stood up and knocked me head into them. I seriously saw stars for a long time, they are huge suckers! The birds will love those dried seeds this fall!
