Dear Brian

All I (and Brady, Jayda, and George) want for Valentine's Day is one of these very acceptable kitty's. All of their St Francis description's include the following, very important, lines:
  1. I am a very loving cat. (+ for all)
  2. I am very comfortable around cats and humans of any age. (+ for George and the kids)
  3. I am the kind of cat that you can pick up at anytime and cuddle with. (+++ for the kids)
So feel free to surprise me (us) with any of the following:

Contessa

Harvey

Jennings

KissyLips

Mr. Bear

Sandine

Scerny
Here are pictures from Brian's SBM ice water rescue training last Saturday. I thought it was cool and figured I would share.

Tax dollars hard at work.

Beware the Butts

1981 (Johnny and Jodie)

2008 (Brady and Jayda)

You can thank my Mom for this. ;)

After much prodding, I finally busted out the camera, posed the kids, took the butt shot and sent the pic to my mom. Her response:

"Applause to FINALLY having taken the picture. However...the pose was inaccurate as you will see by the enclosed photo that Brady's arm should be the top arm and Jayda's the low arm...they should be sitting on a little stool facing the wall by a heater. Try again."

So there might be an update to this post some day. I don't know though. Shooting the butt shot is harder than it looks.

Friday Night's Fun

Brian had it in his head that making homemade pizza's would be so much fun, so we gave it a try with the kids. Kind of messy, kind of more expensive than it should have been, and kind of not that good. At least we tried. ;)

Saturday's Fun

Brady had his last swim class. Now he gets to move to level 2. When he first started he was not a happy camper and sat on the steps almost the entire time; he's come a long way. Yay! It helped that we told him he could play at the Brunswick Zone arcade if he passed his swim lessons. When all else fails, bribe. ;)

What could have them smiling?
The thought that Uncle Jeffy is coming!
Yep, Jeff moved in on Sunday.
His primary concern was making sure his xbox would hook up to both the TV and internet. Notice the horrendous cord. Its not staying. A new solution (read router) will be found. Heaven forbid the boy go one day without the "essentials."

And the answer is...

Sad thing is, this is the 3rd quilt/comforter she's ruined. When am I going to learn not to leave her roaming free when someone isn't with her?

Who done it?

Here are the suspects:
Here is the crime:

Try and see if you can guess who the guilty one is.

This has nothing to do with the crime, I just love this pic. Jayda is such a stinker.

Sometimes you feel like blogging...

Sometimes you don't. Almond Joy have nuts. Mounds don't.

Yeah, I might be losing my marbles. Work stinks and I have a serious case of the blahs.

On a happier note, here is the latest in pretend play: The cat is the baby and they are the parents.

The latest

This is how the kids entertain themselves right now. They go into Jayda's room with both dogs and play airplane, and in the process, they completely destroy the place.

(In case you were wondering, the airplane is the bed frame. You see it now don't you?) ;)

I spy with my little eye something that is furry. And real. Poor Zessie.

Brady loving Zara.

Jayda loving her Barbie Fairytopia costume.
Next year when the halloween costumes go on clearance, I'm going to stock up on outfits.

And GMA was in Minne today because of our supposed extreme temperatures. I know its cold, but its definitely been colder. And, probably is colder in other places.

Once again Mom delivers

I just had to move the humping dogs down, but didn't have anything to post. Thankfully, I just got these pics from my Mom. They really made me smile. My happy Dad and tired little bro are just so cute (the fish are kind of gross though).

Shady's going to be a momma

Absolutely no joke. This is the email message and picture I just received from my mom. I am still in shock. I feel bad, like I'm invading on the poor dogs' privacy (and now you will be too - misery loves company - ha ha). And for some reason I can't stop laughing. Thanks Mom.

Meet Remington! 60 days and counting! : )

They got me

I just joined the Disney Movie Club.
And I shamelessly admit, it was more for my sake than the kids.

Happy Tuesday - er not

Four people in my group at work were laid off today. Makes me sad. I liked all of them, but one of them I am REALLY going to miss (you know who you are).

What a great way to ring in the New Year.

And Half Price books stinks at buying back books. I brought in like 15-20 books and they were only going to give me $2.00 for them. That's like a dime a book. You could do better than that at a garage sale, so I decided just to give them away instead.
