Sometimes you feel like blogging...

Sometimes you don't. Almond Joy have nuts. Mounds don't.

Yeah, I might be losing my marbles. Work stinks and I have a serious case of the blahs.

On a happier note, here is the latest in pretend play: The cat is the baby and they are the parents.

The latest

This is how the kids entertain themselves right now. They go into Jayda's room with both dogs and play airplane, and in the process, they completely destroy the place.

(In case you were wondering, the airplane is the bed frame. You see it now don't you?) ;)

I spy with my little eye something that is furry. And real. Poor Zessie.

Brady loving Zara.

Jayda loving her Barbie Fairytopia costume.
Next year when the halloween costumes go on clearance, I'm going to stock up on outfits.

And GMA was in Minne today because of our supposed extreme temperatures. I know its cold, but its definitely been colder. And, probably is colder in other places.

Once again Mom delivers

I just had to move the humping dogs down, but didn't have anything to post. Thankfully, I just got these pics from my Mom. They really made me smile. My happy Dad and tired little bro are just so cute (the fish are kind of gross though).

Shady's going to be a momma

Absolutely no joke. This is the email message and picture I just received from my mom. I am still in shock. I feel bad, like I'm invading on the poor dogs' privacy (and now you will be too - misery loves company - ha ha). And for some reason I can't stop laughing. Thanks Mom.

Meet Remington! 60 days and counting! : )

They got me

I just joined the Disney Movie Club.
And I shamelessly admit, it was more for my sake than the kids.

Happy Tuesday - er not

Four people in my group at work were laid off today. Makes me sad. I liked all of them, but one of them I am REALLY going to miss (you know who you are).

What a great way to ring in the New Year.

And Half Price books stinks at buying back books. I brought in like 15-20 books and they were only going to give me $2.00 for them. That's like a dime a book. You could do better than that at a garage sale, so I decided just to give them away instead.

Giddy-up

Another one of those toys that spans the generations. I remember having a bouncy ball similar to this when I was little. Good times.

Only bad thing is they fight like cats and dogs over it. Maybe someone (read Grandma) should get them another one. ;)

Holiday Party

So work threw a little fiesta yesterday afternoon. I have never gone to one of their holiday parties before because I always thought they would be lame. Turns out I couldn't have been more wrong. It was festive and delicious!

Check out our chocolate fountain and ice sculpture (that had shrimp in it - that was the only yuck factor for me).

Monday Night

Here is a picture of my parents right before they hopped on the light rail and headed off to the Metrodome to see the Vikings vs Bears. Ummm can you guess who they were rooting for???

I guess as soon as they got on the train, they immediately got razzed for being Bears fans. I told them it was a good thing the Bears lost, or else they might have gotten jumped on the train ride back. Wah wah. ;)

Sunday Brunch

On Sunday we had our Christmas brunch with the Eshbach's. It was yummy and fun. Bethany is a crazy creative sewer girl, and this year for Christmas, she made the kids outfits that correlated with the book that she bought them. Very cute. :)

Saturday Night

Saturday night we went to Brian's work Christmas party. It was a good time. First we went to Ichibans, and then we walked the 8 blocks over to the Hennipen Stages Theater and saw "Don't Hug Me Christmas Carol."

I felt so smart, because all of that is down where Erika used to work, so for once, I knew more about the city and skyway than Brian did. ;)

Junior Gym Games

Last night was the last night of Junior Gym Games. Brady is sad now. He loved going. Tuesday became his favorite night. Oh well. Both he and Jayda start T-ball in February, so at least they have something to look forward to. I love community ed. :)

Safety first

I was taking pictures of the outside of our house to show my Mom, and I was amazed to discover reflectors on Jayda's coat. I had no idea her coat was reflective! No cars will be hitting her. Brady, on the other hand, might not be so lucky. Terrible.
