Another Sunny Sunday

(We won't mention the other overcast rainy days of the week.) I love Sundays for the following reasons:
  • It is the day my friend Jen and I run our long run (we're training for the twin cities marathon*), so I'm usually sore from running, but I also feel like super star for being able to have run so long (we're up to 15 miles)
  • Its also the day Brian makes pancakes for breakfast
  • And the day the paper comes chalk full of ads
  • Its a day spent playing with the kids and animals
  • And we always have a nice family dinner that provides us with leftovers to use during the upcoming week

The only thing that would make our Sunday's even more perfect is if we went to church - we really need to work on that one.

* My mom is going to run it too - only she's training all by herself. :( I'm super proud of her! Running by yourself sucks. In fact, running period sucks. I wouldn't be able to run such long distances if I didn't have a friend to do it with me.

Here are pictures from our last sunny Sunday:

Jayda's little cheeks made me laugh!

Worn out!

OK, first I have to tell you I can't STOP laughing about your comment on my blog about giving your left nut. That is just cracking me up.

Those are great pictures. I'm so glad to see there wasn't any damage to your house/trees, at least by those pictures!

Sundays are great, lazy days! I love that! I love to go to church in the morning but find that I love the rest of the day to spend with my family...not rushing BACK to church! Pancakes sound YUMMY!

I like Sundays too! I like that I can forget my daily household chores and just relax and have fun!

I'm not that big on pancakes (the kids will tell you that I don't make them well!) but I love waffles and we had those just this morning - I woke up with a craving and since we didn't have a whole lot of mix left (I was lazy) I didn't even get any - the kids ate them all! :O

Love the cheeks! LOL

15 miles? That's awesome! I feel good for running three.

I love Sundays, too!!

Great job on the 15 miles -- I don't think I could ever run that far... 5K or 10K is about it for me. When is the marathon? What a great goal!!

I remember the sun. The forecast for the next week depresses me. At least the storm yesterday wasn't too bad.

Have you lost any weight from all of your running? Not that you need to since you are already a walking stick! By the end of the summer, we won't even be able to see you!

Way to go on training! You are such an inspiration...my lazy but barely moves at all on Sundays, or for the rest of the week for that matter. That's something to work on! Keep up the great work and can't wait to see you cross that finish line. Emily
