Miraculously, our yard/house was relatively unharmed, but the rest of the neighborhood didn't fare as well. :( (The pictures below were taken by my mom.)

On Grandma's Watch
My mom stayed with the kids while Brian and I were out gallivanting (see above), and on her watch, the kids acquired 3 new goldfish and lived through their first real tornado. Being so far away from them while the tornados were passing through was so hard!! Talk about angst! I am so thankful that my mom was with them, and kept them safe and happy.

Wow, I am SO glad everything was ok!!! How terrifying!
I was going to call you to see if you guys were okay. All the weather stations made me think the storm was right on top of you. I'm glad you didn't have any damage. We were okay too.
Glad to hear that your family and home is safe. That must have been quite scary. Did you know about it while it was going on or after? I think I would have perfered to just find out afterwards.
holy crap. i heard about hugo, but didn't know Blaine got hit. yikes. i love that it happens the first time you two get away. wow.
Yes, we totally need to get together. soon. :)
That would be so hard being away from your kids! I'm so glad everything/everybody was okay.
Oofduh! Reminds me of the storm we had the weekend we moved here from IN! I'm glad you guys missed the major part!
I don't know what I'm going to do here when we get those big storms...we don't have a basement and they freak me out!
